Tuning, Setup & Ergonomics are widely missing from many drummers bag of tricks! Every Drum Kit setup, player & performance are different.

There is so much information online, with countless approaches to tuning method & madness. Then why do I still experience students & other musicians questioning why it always feels, and sounds better, to sit on my drums, even after years of playing?

Ergonomics first! Your drum kit (& body) are made with many moving parts. They are designed to be positioned with perfect ergonomics in mind. Most drummers have no idea where to start with this.

Tuning can be a ‘Magical mystery tour’ for most, and Yes, there are potentially a hundred things we can do to modify the sound of drums. Firstly understanding tuning & the design limitations of any drum are key to achieving amazing sound.
